The VA loan program helps veterans, active-duty service members, and their families qualify for a home loan. The primary benefits of the loan program include no down payment and no private mortgage insurance (PMI).
If ANY of the following describe you, then you might be eligible for a VA loan:
Served 90 days on active duty during wartime,
Served 181 days on active duty during peacetime,
Are the surviving-spouse of a veteran or service member who died in the line of duty or from a service-connected disability.
There can be exceptions to the service requirements (above). The only way to verify your eligibility for the VA home loan is with your Certificate of Eligibility (COE). This document confirms you satisfied the military service requirements and the home benefit is available to you. The US Department of Veteran Affairs will issue your COE to confirm eligibility with this loan program. Please contact us today, if you need help requesting your COE. Loan Remedy has no affiliation with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the US Department of Veterans Affairs, or any other government agency.
